All of the books have first appeared in German language. The first novels takes place in Germany, the next in Ghana. With her new project, the author has returned to Germany.

A literary-documentary film based on the novel "Faceless" has been awarded with a camera prize in 2007.

The German translations have been published by Schmetterling Verlag, some paperbacks by dtv, the english texts by Heinemann Publishers (London) and Subsaharan Publishers (Ghana). Some of the books also appeared in other languages.
